Connecting your local school and church

We would love to hear from you if you are interested in developing positive connections between your local school and church.  Please contact Jane or Liz.

Training and events

Throughout the year we run FREE training events focussing on various ways that churches can serve the spiritual life of their local school. Follow us on Facebook to keep up to date with new training opportunities!

Prayer Spaces in School – We had a brilliant time at our last training event at the end of January.  A wonderful group of people turned up from the Bristol area and beyond!  There was great buzz of excitement, as people started to think through and plan how they could run their first prayer space in schools and FE colleges!   We will run another Prayer Spaces in School training event in the summer term!

Easter – we would LOVE more churches to connect with their local schools in the run up to Easter and to offer support with RE.  We have developed a new, super easy, minimal prep, Key Stage 2, RE resource called Easter Space – for you to deliver with a small team.  Click here for your free copy of the resource.  Read the leaders guide first and the other resources should make sense!  Get in touch if you need any support with this.

Easter Trails – Another option would be to run an Easter Trail for your local school(s) in 2021.  If you would like to be inspired by seeing a trail in action this year, you are welcome to come to Christ Church, Clifton on Tuesday 17th March 11.15am – 1pm.  Please email us in advance to let us know if you are coming.  If you can’t make this time/date, email us and we can hopefully work out another time/date!

Christmas Trails – Great to see some of you visiting churches running trails at the end of last year around the city!  Please get in touch if there is anything we can do to support you if you would like to run a Christmas Trail for your local school(s) in 2020.

Connect @ The Kitchen 2019 – lovely to see you all!  We hope you were inspired and encouraged by the stories that were shared – well done to everyone who took part!
